Abnormal atrophy and loss of bulk of the examined pelvic, paraspinal, upper thigh and both psoas muscles. Hypoplasia of both hemipelvis and proximal femurs with shallow acetabulae. Bilateral coxa valga. Both femoral heads are normal with no avascular necrosis.
Case Discussion
A nice demonstration of the sequalae of poliomyelitis. Normal examined right hip joint and femoral head, with nothing to explain the hip pain.
