Multiple prominent pelvic vessels are identified, some of which show filling defects.
The post-delivery bulky uterus is noted.
There is mild hypo-attenuating material in the endometrial cavity (blood clot).
Case Discussion
Septic pelvic thrombophlebitis is a rare complication of vaginal delivery. The common presenting symptoms include fever and abdominal pain.
In CT images, a filling defect (thrombus) can be seen in the lumen of enlarged vessels.
