Pelviureteric junction obstruction due to aberrant renal artery

Presentation

Worsening intermittent right flank pain, no history of burning micturition.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Male

Moderate right hydronephrosis was found with acute narrowing of ureteropelvic (UP) junction. Distal ureter is collapsed. Aberrant/accessory artery for lower pole of right kidney was crossing just above UP junction. Repeated compression by aberrant renal artery causes UPJ obstruction.
