Case contributed by Dr Sumeet Halde

Presentation

Worsening right flank pain

Patient Data

Age: 25-30Y
Gender: Male

On sonography moderate right hydronephrosis was found with acute narrowing of ureteropelvic (UP) junction. Distal ureter is collapsed. Aberrant/accessory artery for lower pole of right kidney was crossing just above UP junction. Repeated compression by aberrant renal artery causes UPJ obstruction.
