Presentation

The patient presents after penile trauma during intercourse.

Age: 40 years
Gender: Male

Focal thickening in the right side of the corpus cavernosum, with the appearance of a fracture line in the tunica albuginea, causes a mass effect on the urethra.

Case Discussion

Penile rupture is defined as the traumatic rupture of the tunica albuginea of an erect penis. Symptoms include sudden detumescence with pain and swelling. Prompt surgical exploration and repair are typically recommended.
