Info

There is a disruption of the tunica albuginea extending through the right corpora cavernosa (axial, coronal, sagittal). There is marked surrounding oedema. There is a non-enhancing T2 hyperintense, T1 hypointense collection along the posterior and right lateral aspect of the penis which is felt to represent a haematoma.

Case Discussion

This is a case of a fractured penis.

The patient underwent a penile exploration for repair of the corporal body. Per the operative report, a flexible cystoscope was inserted and no urethral injury was identified. The penis was degloved to the bucks layer to the level of the penile-scrotal junction. The right corpora (and accompanying haematoma) was identified and subsequently repaired.
