Percutaneous nephrostomy in a transplanted kidney due bladder neoplasia
Presentation
Patient with previous transplanted kidney due chronic renal failure presents with renal function decrease.
Patient Data
Ct Abdomen and pelvis
Non-contrast CT scan shows bilateral kidney atrophy due chronic renal disease and a left pelvic transplanted kidney. There is a mild hydroureteronephrosis causes by a focal thickening on bladder wall and a bladder clot around urinary catheter balloon.
Ultrasound study confirms the same findings of CT. A percutaneous nephrostomy was proposed to relieve the hydronephrosis.
CT scan performed after nephrostomy shows resolution of hydronephrosis with correct placement of the catheter.
