Perforated appendicitis with abscess formation

Moderately dilated appendix of retrocecal location with thick enhanced wall, perforated within the right psoas muscle forming a large abscess. Surrounding fat stranding with reactive mesenteric lymph nodes as well as mild peritoneal fluid with thickening and enhancement of the adjacent peritoneal reflections.
