Presentation

Neglected right lower abdominal pain for one month, presented with purulent discharge from the right lower lumbar region

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Male

The CT scan revealed the features of a retrocaecal appendicitis, perforated within the right psoas muscles forming a large abscess that extended through the right abdominal wall into the subcutaneous tissues with fistulisation.
