Perforated appendicitis with abscess formations

Presentation

10 days history of right lower quadrant pain with fever.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Female

The appendix is dilated (13 mm) with a thick enhanced wall. Focal defect at the appendiceal tip with multiple adjacent and pelvic fluid-air collections as well as mesenteric fat stranding.
