Perianal fistula

Presentation

Perianal pain for a few days. On examination - perianal fistula. Previous history of surgery for perianal fistula 13 years previously.

Patient Data

Gender: Male
ultrasound

A skin opening is noted at 3 o'clock.

A tract is seen extending to anal canal for about 4 - 5 cm length.

Its communication with anal canal is noted at 6 o'clock.

Distance from anal opening is about 2 cm.

No abscess is noted.

No other tract is noted.

A trans-sphincteric perianal fistula was demonstrated at time of surgery.
