Perianal fistula - intersphincteric type

Presentation

Chronic perianal discharge.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Female

A 38 mm thick-walled tract starts superficially at the left perianal region and courses superiorly between internal and external anal sphincters to open into the anal canal at 3 o’clock orientation.

No abscess formation.

A multiloculated cystic lesion with smooth marginal enhancements is seen along with the right adnexa.

Case Discussion

Grade I low-type intersphincteric perianal fistula without evidence of the perianal abscess.
