Pericallosal lipoma

Deceased visual acuity of left eye after blunt trauma.

Patient Data

Age: 5
Gender: Male

Incidentally noted curvilinear peri-callosal lipoma measuring 6.5mm in thickness.

Abnormal orientation and disfigurement of the shape of the lens of the left eye which is displaced anteriorly obliterating the anterior chamber. This is associated with abnormal hyperdensity along the anterolateral aspect of the vitreous of the left eye (sub-lenticular in position).

Case Discussion

Pericallosal lipoma in this case is asymptomatic and discovered incidentally with mild hypoplasia of the splenium and posterior part of body of corpus callosum.
