Pericallosal lipoma

Case contributed by Dr Anthony Nuñez

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Female

Along the corpus callosum margin, there is a curvilinear, thin and elongated fat density (pericallosal lipoma). The corpus callosum is preserved.

Case Discussion

There are two types of pericallosal lipoma, curvilinear (as in this case) and tubulonodular. Some patients consult for seizures, but in this case the patient did not have a history of seizure. It's better seen with soft tissue window.
