Presentation

Shortness of breath and cough, with a past history of pulmonary tuberculosis.

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Female
ct

Non-contrast CT of the chest demonstrates a 17 x 26 mm well-defined structure with a mean attenuation of 7 UH located in the superior mediastinum.

A 2 mm width communication between this structure and the pericardial cavity is noted. 

There are bilateral pleural effusions.
