Pleuritic chest pain and raised D-Dimer

Age: 60 years
Gender: Female

There is no pulmonary embolus identified. The pericardium is thickened with subtle stranding of the pericardial fat. Given the clinical setting, the appearance is most in keeping with pericarditis.
