Presentation

Has been suffering from swollen, painful perineum for 4-5 days. No fever.

Patient Data

Age: 90 years
Gender: Male
ultrasound

Subcutaneous perineal structure of intermediate, relatively homogeneous echogenicity, measuring 3.4 x 2.1 x 4.4 cm. The lesion is compressible and comprises thick fluid, demonstrated by a swirling of contents. Hyperaemic margins. Features compatible with abscess.

Incision and drainage of the perineal abscess were performed.
