Case Discussion

Periosteum that is loosely adhered to bone (typically in younger individuals) will react in a predictable pattern that is depent upon the pathology's growth rate and thus the rate of periosteal elevation from the subjacent cortex. This gives insight into the physiology of the lesion, allowing for a more accurate differential diagnosis.
