A 280 × 175 × 240 mm cyst-like lesion is present in the abdominal cavity that extends into the superior pelvis. The lesion is located anterior to the bowel loops and displaces them. There are also a few smaller intraperitoneal cystic lesions less than 75 mm.

The hepatic attenuation value is less than the spleen, suggesting fatty liver. A few small cysts are seen in the liver.

A few stones are seen in the gallbladder less than 18 mm.

CBD is dilated up to 10 mm.

Case Discussion

Regarding the history of pancreatitis about two months ago, features on the CT scan are most consistent with peripancreatic pseudocysts.

On CT/MR images, pseudocysts appear as well-circumscribed peripancreatic fluid collections that are usually surrounded by a well-defined enhancing wall and contain no non-liquefied components within the fluid collection.
