Case contributed by Ammar Haouimi
Diagnosis probable

Presentation

Painless swelling of the medial aspect of the right arm.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Female

There is a well-circumscribed ovoid mass measuring 27 X 18 X 16 mm of deep subcutaneous location in the medial aspect of the right arm, centered on the medial cutaneous nerve, anterior to the basilic vein and medial to the triceps brachii (medial/long head). It elicits an isosignal to the muscles on T1, high signal on T2 with an iso-to slightly hyperintense component and heterogeneous enhancement on postcontrast sequences.

Case Discussion

MRI features of well-circumscribed ovoid mass in the medial aspect of the right arm centered on the medial cutaneous nerve suggestive of a peripheral nerve sheath tumor (PNST).
