Peripheral soft tissue tumour

Right knee - lateral aspect - painful nodule - 1 yr. P/H/o - Local thron injury. USG to rule out foreign body

Patient Data

Age: about 35 yrs
Gender: Male

Well-defined ovoid lesion is seen in region of interest.

 Size       - 5 x 5 x 4 mm

 Location - ? Deep cuteneous plane / Subcutenous plane.

                 Seperate from bone and muscle.


Morphology - Hypoechoic to surrounding fat

             - NO calcification / cystic changes.

             - Posterior acoustic enhancement present.

             - NOt compressible.

Dopplar - Flow present in lesion.

No foreign body could be seen for which ultrasound was done


Case Discussion

Excision biopsy done.

HP - Leiomyoma.
