Peritoneal inclusion cyst

Presentation

Primary infertility. 8 yrs of married life. One previous abdominal surgery - detailes are not available. No h/o pelvic trauma.

Age: 35
Gender: Female
Modality: Ultrasound

A well defined cystic collection seen adjacent to left ovary and uterine fundus

Case Discussion

Irregular fluid collection is seen within the left adnexa extening upto the lumbar region. It abuts the uterine fundus and left psoas muscle. Ovary is noted at lower end of the lesion, within the lesion. Few septa are noted radiating towards the ovary. Ovarian parenchyma is normal.

Findings are consistent with a peritoneal inclusion cyst.
