One week treatment for tonsillitis.

Patient Data

Age: 18
Gender: Male

CT Neck

CT images show a bilateral tonsillar enlargement that is bigger on the left side, where it is possible to identify a hypoattenuating fluid collection.

Case Discussion

Peritonsillar abscess is a collection of pus generally thought to result as a complication of tonsillitis and thus has a similar clinical presentation and infective aetiology.
