There are intra-axial, cortical T1-WI hypointense/T2-WI hyperintense lesions centered on the right parietal lobe, which has been suppressed on FLAIR sequence. There is no mass effect or edema or diffusion restriction.
Case Discussion
These imaging findings are highly suggestive of a cluster of type 2 of perivascular spaces. Type 2 of perivascular spaces are located in the area supplied by the perforating medullary arteries as they enter the cortical grey matter.
