Severe loss of the white matter is noted with multiple cystic cavities formation in the left-sided centrum semi-ovale. Marked dilatation of the bilateral lateral ventricles and third ventricle is seen which are most likely the result of the previous ischaemic-hypoxic disease process.

Case Discussion

Current MR study findings are concerning for periventricular leukomalacia which is most likely due to previous ischaemic-hypoxic disease process on provided images as described above.
