Periventricular nodular gray matter heterotopia

Seizures, delayed cry

Patient Data

Age: 3 months

Multiple periventricular nodular lesions, isointense to gray matter on all sequences are seen along posterior body, temporal and occipital horns of bilateral lateral ventricles.
Diffuse thinning of corpus callosum is seen with paucity of bilateral peritrigonal, parietooccipital periventricular and deep white matter.

Case Discussion

Findings consistent with periventricular nodular gray matter heterotopia.

Diffuse thinning of corpus callosum  with paucity of bilateral peritrigonal, parietooccipital periventricular and deep white matter is likely sequelae of hypoxic / ischemic perinatal insult.
