Relatively small size of left globe with hyperintense vitreous on T1 images and a linear low intensity structure coursing anteroposteriorly from lens to optic disc (corresponding complimentary Doppler shows vascularity within). No obvious evidence of calcification seen.
Cystic lesion seen in the posterior segment on left side abutting the above mentioned linear structure.
Left optic nerve atrophy.
Case Discussion
Overall findings are suggestive of persistent hyperplastic primary vitreous (PHPV) with vitreous hemorrhage.
