Peyronie disease

Presentation

A male patient with a palpable lump at mid of dorsum of his penis. Lump has gradually increased in size over 12 - 15 months. No history of erectile dysfunction.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Male
Ultrasound

Highly calcified reflective plaques seen at the tunica albuginea, mainly to the left side with clear distal attenuating shadow; in keeping with Peyronie disease.  

Case Discussion

Sonographic features of Peyronie disease are usually present on the dorsal surface of the penis, and appear as echogenic plaques and calcifications (as in this case) involving the tunica albuginea.
