The chief complaint is a pain in the left thumb finger for days due to trauma with a hammer in the workplace, on clinical examination: swelling and tenderness in the left thumb.

Lateral

On frontal view, a non-displaced comminuted fracture of the proximal phalanx of the left thumb.
Case Discussion
As we see the lateral view does not show significant findings, but the AP view shows a non-displaced comminuted fracture of the proximal phalanx of the thumb
Almost all closed thumb fractures can be immobilized in a thumb spica splint in plaster or fiberglass and followed up in the clinic.
