Presentation

Patient referred for evaluation of hypertension.

Age: 25 years
Gender: Male

A well-defined right suprarenal mass with heterogeneous signal and marked central hyperintensity suggesting marked central necrosis. Enhanced margins and soft tissue components.

MR angiography shows the right kidney along with the renal artery is displaced.

Case Discussion

MR imaging reveals a large well defined mass in the right adrenal gland. Varying imaging protocols show a highly necrotic mass displacing the right kidney. Conventional MR images and MRA are shown. 

Diagnosis of pheochromocytoma was made.
