Coronal PET image shows focal area of increased FDG uptake in the left side of the pelvis.
Fused PET/CT shows increased FDG uptake in the left ovary corresponding to corpus luteal cyst.
Case Discussion
Benign ovarian 18F-FDG uptake misinterpreted as a malignancy can have significant clinical consequences.
