The area of concern at the left pre-auricular region showed a small well defined soft tissue lesion noted at the subcutaneous tissue indenting the dermal layer and the deep fascial plane separating it from the superficial segment of the parotid gland. It shows central calcification with posterior shadowing and minimal internal vascularity.

A pilomatricoma is an uncommon, benign neoplasm thought to arise from hair cortex cells.
