There is an about 65 x 45 x 30 mm subcutaneous, inhomogeneous mass in the right distal upper arm laterally, showing low signal on T1/T2 weighted sequences. Rim like peripheral T2/STIR hyperintensity and mild edema of the adjacent subcutaneous tissue noted. Mottled internal hypervascularity is noted on postcontrast sequences.
Case Discussion
Due to the hypervascular appearance of the tumor and considering the rapid growth the possibility of soft tissue sarcoma was raised. However, postoperative histopathology confirmed a benign pilomatricoma.
