Case Discussion

US features highly suggestive of pilomatricoma that was confirmed after surgical excision.

Pilomatricoma is a benign skin tumor arising from the hair cortex cells. The cervico-facial location and female sex are common denominators. Multiple locations and involvement of the limbs are rare.

Ultrasound offers a simple and effective way to propose the diagnosis of pilomatricoma for a cervico-facial subcutaneous lesion. Surgical excision and histopathological examination are required to confirm the diagnosis.
