Case Discussion
Pilomatrixoma, or calcifying epithelioma of Malherbe, is a rare benign tumour of hair-follicle origin that mainly arises in the head and neck region. It is thought to arise from skin appendages. The lesion arises in the dermis from primitive cells that normally differentiate into hair matrix cells.
