Fractures lines involving the distal tibia are seen extending into the tibiotalar articular surface. Minimal displacement.

A pilon fracture is a type of fracture involving the distal tibia. In this case, there is minimal fragment displacement, which on the Ruedi and Algower classification corresponds to type I.
