Sinus tract in the intergluteal region in subcutaneous fat plan with 24 mm length and 12 mm thickness
The tract transverse anteriorly and ends in subcutaneous fat planes of the left of the midline at the level of the second coccygeal vertebrae.
Mild surrounding inflammatory fat stranding
No secondary ramifications
No extension to the underlying spine.
Case Discussion
A classical example of a simple intergluteal cleft pilonidal sinus track. MRI allows visualization of tract anatomy also useful in assessment associated inflammation.
