MRI of the brain demonstrates a small well circumscribed pineal region cyst, characteristic of an incidental pineal cyst.
Case Discussion
Pineal cysts are very common, and in the vast majority of cases they are asymptomatic. They are important however insofar they can mimic cystic pineal neoplasms such as cystic pineocytomas. They are also a cause of much angst and googling by patients.
