Case Discussion

When pineal cysts are large they can compress the tectum and even result in obstructive hydrocephalus (not in this patient). It is advisable to follow atypical / large pineal cysts as they may represent a cystic pineal neoplasms. Further assessment with an MRI should be performed in this case.
