Patient Data

Age: 8 months
Gender: Female
  • depressed occipital bone fracture with inner buckling of the calvarium
  • associated small extra-axial hematoma

Case Discussion

Ping pong fractures are the equivalent of greenstick fractures of long bones. Spontaneous elevation in this type of fracture is extremely rare and the treatment is generally conservative.
