The pituitary gland has normal dimensions and shows a nodular region of delayed enhancement in its central and inferior aspect, measuring up to 4*5 mm. The infundibulum is centered and has a normal thickness. Optic chiasm and suprasellar cistern are unremarkable.

Case Discussion

Pituitary function tests were performed in this case and demonstrated elevated prolactin levels (1300 ng/ml) that are compatible with a secreting microadenoma, and otherwise normal pituitary function.
