CT-scan images with 3D reconstruction demonestrating unilateral flattening of the right frontal bone with abnormal fusion of right coronal suture and elevation of the superolateral border of orbit on the affected side with upward rotation of lesser wing of sphenoid (harlequin eye deformity). The cerebral hemispheres appear slightly asymmetric, although no frank loss of parenchymal volume is seen.

Case Discussion

Unicoronal synostosis results in anterior plagiocephaly. Asymmetric growth results in displacement of the sagittal suture, nasal septum, and skull base to the affected side. The harlequin eye deformity is characterized by elevation of the suprolateral corner of the orbit, anterior plagiocephaly may be associated with this deformity.
