Thickened plantar aponeurosis at the calcaneal attachment with abnormal oedema signal. Adjacent calcaneal and soft tissue oedema. A small bony plantar spur is also evident.

Case Discussion

The case shows typical features of acute plantar fasciitis in the form of thickening of the plantar fascia at its calcaneal attachment with oedema involving the plantar fascia, calcaneus and surrounding soft tissue. Small bony plantar calcaneal spur is also evident.
