Symptomatic side: the plantar fascia shows thickening and a hypoechoic echopattern. Only the insertional/proximal fascia is abnormal. The midfoot fascia is normal (image not provided).
Asymptomatic side: the plantar fascia shows normal thickness and echopattern.
