Age: 50 years

MRI

There is a large well-defined extra-axial dural-based mass arising from the planum sphenoidale with adjacent hyperostosis. It is isointense to the cortical grey matter on T1/FLAIR, mildly high signal on T2 with intense and relatively homogeneous enhancement on postcontrast sequences. Mild surrounding edema with mass effect on the frontal horns and subfalcine herniation.

Normal appearance of the pituitary gland and optic chiasma.
