Patient Data

Age: 45 Years
Gender: Female

There is a T1 & T2 isointense and homogeneous avidly enhancing suprasellar mass on the tuberculum sellae with extension to planum sphenoidale and right optic canal with a well defined border and dural tail. The mass is extending inferiorly into the sella depressing diaphragma sellae and pituitary stalk, which are visualized separately. Right ICA is surrounded by more than 180 degrees, and right MCA touches the posterior aspect of the mass with normal signal void. The mass is abutting the origin of right ACA.

Case Discussion

Involvement of optic canal in tuberculum sellae and planum sphenoidale meningiomas is frequent, and can be bilateral. Extension into the intraconal space is a negative predictor.
