There is a large, lobulated mass centred on the left parapharangeal space, arising from the deep lobe of the left parotid gland.  The lesion is isointense to muscle on T1, predominantly hyperintense on T2 and shows enhancement.    There is moderate narrowing of the airway caused by medial displacement of the pharyngeal mucosal space.
