Presentation
Right side proptosis and hypoglobus for three years.
Patient Data
A Well-defined large solid heterogeneous density mass lesion axial width up to 30 x 25 mm and height up to 40 mm within right lacrimal gland orbital part with impression on adjacent lateral orbital wall and roof with outward bowing of the bones, impression on related eye uveo-scleral layer, and partially encased the superior rectus muscle and lateral rectus muscle and adjacent eye uveo-scleral layer with the eye proptosis and hypoglobus is seen.
Case Discussion
The case illustrates non-contrast MDCT features of pathology-proved pleomorphic adenoma of the lacrimal gland. The tumor is usually progressively enlarged and is painless but has a low risk of malignancy and leads to carcinoma ex pleomorphic adenoma.
