Pleomorphic adenoma of the parotid gland

Diagnosis almost certain

Presentation

Pain, swelling in right angle of mandible region - noticed for 2 - 3 days. Clinical examination - parotid gland swelling.

Patient Data

Age: 16
Gender: Female

There is a well-defined, mildly heterogeneous, hypoechoic lesion in superficial lobe of parotid gland. There are no cystic changes in the lesion. Lesion shows vascularity.

Rest of the neck examination was normal.

Case Discussion

Findings of a solid lesion in superficial lobe of right parotid gland which proved to be pleomorphic adenoma by FNAC.
