There is a small lobulated well-encapsulated mass of the right parotid gland measuring (22 x 20 x 18 mm). It shows a low signal on T1, high signal on T2 with a peripheral hypointense rim (capsule) and no restricted diffusion. The postcontrast dynamic sequences show a progressive and gradual enhancement of the tumor giving the appearance of a TIC (time–signal intensity curve) type A according to Yabuuchi et al classification.
Normal appearance of the left parotid gland.
No cervical lymphadenopathy.
Case Discussion
MR features are suggestive of pleomorphic adenomas of the right parotid gland.
