There is a sharply marginated, oval mass involving the tail of the right parotid gland, it elicits a low signal intensity on T1-weighted images and very high signal intensity on T2-weighted images with intense post-contrast enhancement. The mass measures 2 x1.7 x 1.6 in its CC, AP and TS diameters.
Case Discussion
CYTOLOGY:
Cellular smears show an abundance of fibromyxoid fibrillery matrix material with spindle cells and plenty of plasmacytoid epithelial cells in the background. Overall, the appearances favor a cellular pleomorphic adenoma, myoepithelial rich.
